George Bernard Shaw was born in Dublin, Ireland on July 26, 1856. He wrote 47 plays, including Candida, Man and Superman, Arms and the Man, The Devil’s Desciple, Heartbreak House, Back to Methusclah, Androcles and the Lion, Mrs. Warren’s Profession and St. Joan. He received the Nobel Prize for literature in 1925. This production is in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Shaw’s first production of Candida.
