Robert Lesser began his career in The Public Theater production of Richard III at Lincoln Center in 1974. He worked closely with Alan Arkin on Broadway in The Soft Touch and in Rubbers & Yanks 3 Detroit 0 Top of the Seventh at the American Place Theater. Bob starred in the original NY production of Sam Shepard’s Geography of a Horse Dreamer at The Manhattan Theatre Club. He appeared in the West Coast premiere of To Gillian on her 37th Birthday directed by Michael Pressman. At PRT, he was in A View from the Bridge, My Antonia and The Bespoke Overcoat. At the Odyssey Theater – Awake and Sing, Steambath, Kvetch and God’s Country. He has appeared in dozens of films including Die Hard, Hester Street, The Big Easy, 2010, Ernest Saves Christmas, The Last Innocent Man, Shoot to Kill, Oscar, The Relic, Godzilla, End of Days and Takashi Koizumi’s Best Wishes for Tomorrow, shot at Toho Studios in Tokyo.
