RACHEL RAY, one of Anthony Trollope’s most charming love stories, is set in a small English provincial community in the luscious Devon countryside. Rachel Ray involves a host of typically Trollopian characters. At the center of the story is the sweet-natured heroine, Rachel Ray, pursued by the dashing Luke Rowan who is battling for control of the local brewery.
[/one_half_last] ANTHONY TROLLOPE (1815-1882), IS ONE OF England’s most successful, prolific and respected novelists. A contemporary of Charles Dickens, he wrote 47 novels – three times as many as Dickens. Some of his best known works include six novels collectively known as the Chronicles of Barsetshire, The Way We Live Now and He Knew He Was Right, all made into BBC movies.
