Co-op: Julia, a new play by Vince Melocchi, will preview this Thursday and Friday night and will open this coming Saturday night, September 25th. It will run till October 10th. Guillermo Cienfuegos, who directed Vince’s last play Lions, which had a substantial run on the mainstage after a co-op production, directed Julia. In the cast are Haskell Vaughn Anderson III, Marley McClean, Justin Preston, Roses Prichard, Keith Stevenson, and me.

Terry Davis, space booker extraordinaire, says, “If someone is willing to rehearse in December, we can open a January slot as early as January 6th. If someone is willing to commit I will “ink” that slot now. If not we will aim for either a January 27 or February 3rd opening. If you wish to be “inked” for early January or be “penciled” for the later slot please let me know asap. I will set the rest of the calendar accordingly.” Terry’s email address is tjd723@pacbell.net and her phone number is 818 762 8108.

Mainstage: Jen Lonsway says that our Dust Buster, used in the opening monologue of Becky’s New Car, has gone missing. It was here for the Saturday night show and not here for the Sunday matinee. If you found it Jen asks (emphatically) that you return it asap. “Send an email,” she says, “so we don’t spend dough on a new one.” If you saw it or know where it is, email Jen at prtjennifer@earthlink.net ASAP, obviously.

Co-op: Lisa Nichols, producing Glengarry Glen Ross in the co-op tells us that “due to scheduling difficulties Glengarry needs to recast the role of Shelly Levine,” a very substantial role with a lot of dialogue. (Lisa describes Levine as “Willy Loman meets Mamet.”) The opening date has been changed from September 23rd to October 15th; anyone interested in meeting the director, Tom McDermott, to read for the part should contact Tom or Lisa as soon as possible. Tom’s email is TMcD54@aol.com; his contact numbers are (310) 455-0346 and (310) 359-2945. Lisa’s email address is lrnichols@me.com; she can be reached by phone at (310)720-8167.

Terry Davis, our space booker, says that she is now ready to ink the November 18th to December 5th performance slot. Ann Bronston and Orson Bean are in line for the slot and she is now asking members if there are any other contenders. Because of the changes in the co-op schedule, it is possible to push the slot back a week so that the slot could begin performing November 11th and close November 28th. If you want to confirm the slot or are merely interested, call Terry at 818 762 8108. Terry’s email is temporarily down so you must contact her by phone.

Members: Catherine Telford and Paul Linke are playing Kate and Joe Keller in All My Sons at the Ruskin Theatre Group, 3000 Airport (Across from the Santa Monica Airport), on Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM and Sundays at 2PM through October 10th. Catherine says that she and Paul would “love to see our PRT friends at the show.”
