Co-Op Updates – February 2009

Company Meeting: Marilyn and Bruce have sent an email on Members Only asking all members to “make time to join us on Saturday, February 28th for an extended company meeting. The meeting will start earlier than usual – at 10:00 AM. After our general meeting, we will be joined at 11:00 AM by John Spokes for an afternoon of discussion, brainstorming and exercises to help us in creating a strategic plan that will support us in our continuing growth and success. Your contributions are all welcome and your participation greatly appreciated. John Spokes is the Development Director for UCLA Live and ran a theatre in the Midwest with his wife, director, Casey Stangl. After generously volunteering to meet with the staff for the same kind of brainstorming meeting, PRT engaged John’s services to work with the Board Of Directors and the members of the Company for the same purpose. There will be one more meeting in approximately one month, where the company, the staff and the Board!

Members: Anna Garduno is offering her March Voice Over/Animation Class in New York. “The idea is to spend 4 weeks in a focused and proactive way in terms of your voice work and the tremendous potential for making money that the work can bring you. The class will have a large emphasis on marketing as well as honing audition skills by reading copy.” The class will meet on four consecutive Tuesdays: March 10th, March 17th, March 24th and March 31st. Tuition will be $200.00 Anna’s niumber is 323 539 6414. She says “feel free” to call her if you have any questions.

2009 Co-op Series: The next Co-op Series Show St. Joan of the Slaughterhouses by Berthold Brecht adapted by Peter Mellencamp and directed by Michael Rothar is looking for co-producers and stage managers. Terry Davis will be serving as the lead producer for this show but she will need help.The show is scheduled to run April 30th to May 17th with rehearsals beginning sometime in March. Last year’s co-op series shows were Time of Your Life and Macbeth.
